Joseph Kuhn, President - Joe founded Contrail Aviation Support Inc. in 2000. Prior to Contrail, Joe began his aviation career in 1992 at Mitchell Aircraft in Chicago, IL where he established his reputation and built his sales acumen while working with many domestic and international accounts including United Airlines, Air Canada and Air New Zealand. In 2000, Contrail Aviation opened its doors in response to the consolidation within the airline industry.  Within months, Contrail Aviation Support quickly became one of the most respected suppliers of surplus engine material. With his knowledge of the industry and the insight into market trends, Joe continued to expand Contrail’s presence into the various engine models that power many of the commercial narrow body aircraft including the  CFM56 -3/5/7 and V2500A5. Joe built Contrail Aviation Support Inc. from the ground up, from a start-up enterprise into a well capitalized,
resourceful and highly respected company that is responsive to industry trends while continuing to
exceed customers’ expectations as a trusted supplier of surplus material.
