Joseph Kuhn

CEO

Joe Kuhn founded Contrail in 2000. He began his aviation career in 1992 at Mitchell Aircraft in Chicago, IL, making a name for himself as he built his sales acumen while developing strong ties with many domestic and international accounts operating the Pratt & Whitney JT8D engine, including United Airlines, Air Canada and Air New Zealand. With his knowledge and deep insights into market trends, Mr. Kuhn continued to expand Contrail’s presence into the CFM56-3/5/7 and V2500A5 engine models, which power the two most prevalent commercial narrow body aircraft in operation today, the Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320.  Mr. Kuhn built Contrail from the ground up into a well capitalized, resourceful and highly respected company that is responsive to industry trends while continuing to exceed customers’ already high expectations.  In 2016, Air T, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRT), acquired a majority ownership position in Contrail with Mr. Kuhn assuming the position of CEO.
